Inspection and Cleaning

Our expert technicians conduct visual inspections to look for oblong holes, cracks, worn mounting faces and bent flanges that could hinder the wheel reconditioning process.

Paint and Grease Removal

Each commercial wheel is moved into a containment chamber and blasted with hot steel bearings to remove all prior coatings, paint, grease and oil.

Second Inspection

We inspect the wheels again before priming and painting to check for signs of damage, inconsistencies and wear that may require further repairs.

Cured Wheels

Commercial wheels are painted via a robotic powder application to ensure a three-millimeter thickness then cured in an oven for 15 minutes for a glossy finish.

Our Commercial Wheel Reconditioning Process

  1. You bring your wheels to your local tire center to be sent to one of our wheel refinishing plants.
  2. We clean and prepare wheels for refinishing.
  3. Our team blasts the wheels with steel shot and abrasive grit to remove built-up dirt, grease and old paint.
  4. We inspect the wheels for potential safety issues.
  5. If it passes the second inspection, we repaint the wheel. Our Lesta robotic painter applies the paint for a more consistent powder finish.
  6. We apply primer if you require it.
  7. Wheels cure in an infrared catalyst oven for 15 minutes.
  8. The powder coating transforms into a durable, permanent finish that looks like new.
  9. We complete a final inspection and prepare refinished wheels for return.
  10. Each reconditioned wheel is labeled to ensure accurate record-keeping, asset tracking and return.
