Thank You To America’s 3.5 Million Truck Drivers

Now more than ever, America’s truck drivers are helping us operate our daily lives. September 13-19 is National Trucker Driver Appreciation Week, and Bauer Built Tire & Service wants to take the opportunity to thank the industry’s drivers.

Over 70% of freight moved across the U.S. is transported by truckers. We recognize the trucking industry for their dedication, especially during the COVID-19 epidemic.

Truck driving is one of the country’s most demanding jobs. These hard-working men and women remained active in transporting goods and resources during a time when most of the country was shut down. Their actions allowed Americans to buy groceries, place online orders, and find a sense of normalcy during these unprecedented times.

An American trucker drives about 100,000 miles a year. That’s a lot of time on the road and away from loved ones. We recognize the sacrifices and commitments the over 3 million drivers have made to ensure the country gets the resources it needs. Thank you to all the light, heavy, and tractor-trailer truck drivers who have kept this country on its feet during this global crisis. The country could not have carried on without your service!
