Michelin FloatXBib Now Available

Michelin has introduced a new ag tire: the Michelin FloatXBib! Offering a higher load and speed rating than the MegaXBib 2 (191D / 188E), the FloatXBib works well on 4-wheeled spreaders as well as the current series of Terragators without the previous problem of shoulder cracking. “The very best part is that this tire is lower priced and higher spec’d than the MegaXBib2,” added Dan Hayden, Commercial Sales Director at Bauer Built Tire & Service.

Usually used for pre-planting and after-harvest, terragator vehicles typically haul liquid and dry fertilizer. Boasting increased productivity, better yields and improved comfort, Michelin’s FloatXBib is treading new ground in the agricultural field. In fact, the Michelin FloatXBib has the highest speed rating for floater tires on the market today.

Michelin has named this tire the IF 1000/55R32; however, it measures close to a true 1050. So, while it’s called a 1000, this is actually a 1050 Mega2 tire and serves as any 1050/50R32 replacement.

Moving forward, the immediate plan is for the FloatXBib to be the tire in use on all terragators and 4-wheeled spreaders. Contact your local Bauer Built Tire & Service center regarding this new Michelin ag tire.
